Michael Julius Martin, age 35, passed away on May 13th 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and unforgettable meals. Known for his boundless energy and joyful presence, Michael was the life of every party, the chef behind countless family feasts, and the friend who always made you feel at home.

Born on January 22nd 1988 in Saint Paul, MN, Michael grew up with a deep love for family, music, and good food — passions that defined his life. Whether he was hosting BBQ’s, dancing to his favorite tunes, or telling stories that left everyone in stitches, Michael had a gift for bringing people together.

He is survived by his late Mother Cindy Ann Martin; Father Daniel(Debra)Johnson Sr.; His late brother Anthony Odell Johnson; Daughter Myliyah Ann Martin; Brother Cordell(Lena) Martin Sr. And his children Cordell Martin Jr., Julius Martin, Ty’Anthony Martin; Brother Daniel Johnson Jr. and his children Caiden and Luhzarus Johnson; Cousins AJ Jex, Tasha Martin, Nia Harris, Dominique Martin; Aunties Sheila Martin and Judy Martin, and a plethora of other family and friends who will carry forward his spirit in every shared meal, every laugh, and every celebration of life.

Michael’s absence leaves an ache in our hearts, but his memory will forever be a source of joy and strength. He taught us how to love loudly, live fully, and cook with soul.

Sleep, my brother, sweet and deep,

Rest your weary heart, I weep.

Though your pain has now ceased,

Your soul finds peaceful release.

Although there's so much you've left here.

I hate that you had to endure such pain,
