Yvonne B Brumbach

Yvonne B. Brumbach, 93, known as ‘Faye’ to some, was “promoted” to heaven on May 18, 2025. Her peaceful passing was surrounded by her family on Johns Island, South Carolina.

Yvonne spent much of her youth between Tennessee and Alabama before getting married to William Charles Brumbach (previously deceased) in Birmingham, Alabama. The couple moved to Columbia, South Carolina where they spent over 50 years raising a family of five. In her later years, she relocated to the lowcountry of Johns Island, South Carolina where she lived out her remaining years.

Having an adventurous spirit and a deep love for her family, she truly enjoyed time with her children and following their interests. Yet, often, you would find her spending hours researching on her computer and learning new things!!

A woman of deep and devoted Christian faith, she often showed her family and friends the pillars she so strongly believed in … love, kindness, empathy, forgiveness, and acceptance. She was a mom and a mentor.

She is survived by her four daughters and one son, Katherine Yvonne Jones; William Charles Brumbach, Jr. (‘Billy’) and his wife, Charlotte Brumbach; Susan Baldwin and her husband, Scott J. Baldwin; Elizabeth Joyce Brumbach and her husband, Randall H. Mills; and Beverly Brumbach. She adored her six grandchildren (Jordan {wife, Carlie}, Paul, Kelly {husband, Shea Castle}, Scott {wife, Katelyn}, Bailey, and Kyle) and seven great-grandchildren (Madison, Theo, Anderson, Penny, Max, Sammie Jean, Blakely). She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, affectionately known as “Bill”, and her son-in-law, Thomas David Jones.

A private Celebration of Life will be held on July 19.

She was often heard saying, “Count it all Joy.” We will continue to live with her wisdom and her ways close in our hearts.
