In loving memory

Theodore Everett Moody, also referred to as “Ted” to family and friends, was born April 26, 1942, and passed away on May 16, 2025, at 83 years of age, in Mesa, Arizona.  Ted was born to Theodore Moody and Laura Whittle in Morristown, New Jersey.

Ted graduated from Watching Hills Regional High School in New Jersey and enlisted in the U.S. Army.  He served in Company A, 707th Maintenance Battalion, which is part of the 7th Infantry Division.  His specific unit was responsible for the maintenance, repair and management of tanks.  Ted served in Korea from 1963 to 1964.

Ted resided in Millington, New Jersey, until his marriage to Barbara Kielblock on December 3, 1967, and they recently celebrated 57 years of marriage.  Ted and Barbara lived in Gillette, New Jersey, for 36 years and relocated to Apache Junction, Arizona, in 2003.

Ted started a career in carpentry and as a masonry contractor after he was honorably discharged from the Army.  He worked as a Special Police Officer for the Township then known as Passaic in New Jersey starting in January 1975.  Ted subsequently worked for over 20 years for a moving company out of Millington, New Jersey.  He served numerous positions as part of the Meyersville Grange in Gillette, New Jersey.  He was an avid fisherman and bowler in his spare time and found tremendous joy in riding motorcycles.

Ted is predeceased by his son, Theodore “Teddy” Moody; his three (3) brothers, John Moody, David Moody and Richard Moody and sister, Susan Moody.

Ted is survived by his wife, Barbara Moody (nee Kielblock); daughter, Amy Pina (husband Jason Pina), and three grandchildren, Joshua, Scarlett and Wesley.
