Mark Wesley Hightower, beloved husband, father, papa, brother, and uncle, passed away May 2, 2025 surrounded by his family. Mark was born on April 16, 1955 to Marion Elmer and Virginia Crisman Hightower in Victoria, Texas.
Mark was passionate about his family and his pets. He had many hobbies that he loved like fishing, trains and miniatures. He enjoyed rock hounding with his wife and drives in the mountains. Mark was well known for his humor and hilarious Papa-jokes. Mark’s children and grandchildren have fond memories of Papa playing the banjo or guitar, singing folk songs. Mark had a special relationship with his grandchildren. Papa was a family man, who deeply loved his wife and family.
He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Carol, daughter Sarah (Mike) Hightower-Cruzan, son Christopher (Alessandra) Hightower, and his beloved grandchildren, Sean (Sierra) Everman-Hightower, Molly Hightower, Thomas Hightower, and Robert Hightower, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at The Springs Funeral Service, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909 on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
