Christopher “Chris” James Atkinson of Peyton, Colorado, passed away on April 29, 2025, at his home.

He was born on December 3, 1973, to Evelyn and Jim Atkinson in Wellington, Kansas.

Chris was 51 years old, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbequing, camping, and spending time with his family and his children. Chris was always full of life no matter what was thrown at him. He was very adventurous, and he had a taste for thrills, parties, and teaching his children as much as he could.

He was outgoing with a great soul, a great mind, and was always looking forward to a new day.

Chris is preceded in death by his father, James Atkinson; mother, Evelyn Atkinson; and son Gabriel Camargo.

Chris is survived by his wife, Mercy Camargo; sons, James Atkinson, and Mathew Camargo; daughter, Chrystyna Atkinson; mother-in-law, Rose Camargo; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Rest in paradise Chris. May you and Gabe soar those clouds together! Forever we all love and miss you more then you could ever imagine. Always and Forever, Love your family.
