In Loving Memory of Barbara Lavaun Schuster
June 10, 1933 – May 17, 2025
Barbara Lavaun Schuster passed into eternal rest on May 17, 2025, in Littleton, Colorado. Born in Shenandoah, Iowa, she was the beloved daughter of Marion and Helen Clark.
Barbara shared 69 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, William Walter Schuster. Together they built a strong, faith-filled family and life of love. She is survived by sons William Walter Jr. (Carol) and Craig Alan (Bobbi), five grandchildren—Jennifer (Adam), Todd (Amanda), Brent (Amy), Hannah, and Andrew—and seven great-grandchildren—Evelyn, Annie, Sam, Ty, Owen, Bode, and Joey. She now joins her husband Bill and daughter, Gwen Suzanne Mahnken, in peace.
A woman of kindness and quiet strength, Barbara worked as a church secretary and later as the owner of a local gift shop. She was a devoted member of Bethany Lutheran Church since 1961, where she formed lifelong friendships and lived out her faith with grace and humility.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500 E. Hampden Ave., Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113. Inurnment and a reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Bethany Lutheran Columbarium.
