Vivienne Kaye (Wilkinson) Emnott of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 83. Vivienne was born on April 5, 1942, to Walter Melvin and Edo Margaret (Livingston) Wilkinson in Bell, California. As a young girl, Vivienne's family moved to Amador County, where she became deeply rooted. Viv attended local schools and graduated from Amador County High School in 1960, excelling in all things related to the domestic arts. This was reflected in her exceptional creativity, lifelong talents, and skills in the finer points of hearth and home-baking, cooking, interior design, sewing, and upholstery work.

Viv was very loving, had a quick wit, and a fun sense of humor. She loved interacting with the community while working at Finney’s Fabric Store, Galli’s Drive-In, and Rasco’s, all located in Jackson. Sharing a drapery side business with a friend, Viv also

created handmade custom draperies for local clients. In addition, she was very involved with the Amador County Fair, running the Home Arts building for a time. She retired from the food services department with ACUSD, following several years of making and serving lunch to local high school students. As a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Jackson, she later taught catechism classes for the younger local children.

Her husband, Loren, was the absolute love of her life, and they enjoyed many happy years together. Together, they shared a beautiful partnership filled with laughter, adventure, and a shared passion for classic cars. As a husband and wife duo, they traveled to many car shows with their beautifully restored classic cars. Both were members of the National Street Rod Association, both were car show judges, and both were former organizers of Sutter Creek’s Annual Fun Run Car Show.

Vivienne was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and her beloved husband, Loren Duane Emnott, who passed away in 2001. She is survived by 1 sister, nieces, nephews, 3 Goddaughters and their families, 5 grand-Godchildren whom she was known as “God Granny” to, deeply loved longtime friends, and several very dear neighbors… all of whom she considered to be her family. She will be missed and very lovingly remembered by all who had the joy of knowing her. At her request, no funeral services will be held.
