Elio Juarez, age 48, passed away in Murray, Utah on May 18, 2025.
Elio was born in Nampa, Idaho on August 2, 1976, to Daniel and Linda Juarez. He was the third of five brothers. Elio grew up in Hammett, Idaho and graduated from Glenns Ferry High School in 1994. After graduation, Elio pursued his career at the High-Tech Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. There he received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Shortly after, he was offered a job at Van Boerum & Frank Associates (VBFA) in Salt Lake City, Utah.Elio had many hobbies. He enjoyed sporting events, fishing, camping, and golfing. Elio also had a deep love for football and never missed a Notre Dame or Kansas City Chiefs game. On July 3, 2024, Elio married the love of his life Maria Hurtado in Santa Cruz, California. Together they lived in Kearns, Utah where they cherished every minute they got to spend with each other. They enjoyed traveling, walking on the beach, going to football games, and spending time with family. Elio never hesitated to give Maria a hard time for being a 49ers fan.
Elio’s passing is felt deeply by his family and all those who knew him. His smile, laugh, and stories will be missed by many. Elio is survived by his wife Maria, and stepchildren Amanda and Rodrigo Melendez; his parents Daniel and Linda Juarez, and siblings -- Daniel (Sandra) Juarez, Rolando (Victoria) Juarez, and Silvestre (Katie) Juarez; his 13 nieces, 6 nephews, and a large extended family of cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Elio is preceded in death by his grandparents Eva and Julian Salinas, Lorenza and Marcelo Juarez, and sibling Marcelo Julian Juarez.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have given their love, support, and friendship to them.
