Michael Pedersen

AULT, COLO. — Mike Pedersen passed away at the age of 67 in his home in Ault, Colo., on Sept. 2, 2021. A celebration of life ceremony will be planned at a later date to be determined by his son and daughter. Mike was born Aug. 31,1954 in Fairmont, Minn., to parents, Grace and Gordon Pedersen. Mike attended Fairmont Senior High School where he graduated as a proud member of the class of 1973. After graduating, he served in the United States Navy. Mike married Gloria Zishka on Sept. 1, 1978 and together they brought their son, James (1979) and daughter, Crystal (1982) into the world. Mike married his second wife, Sheryl Aug. 22, 1986, whose four daughters he accepted as his own. Mike married his third wife, Colleen Sept. 2, 2000 whose daughter he also accepted as his own. Mike was not married when he passed peacefully. Mike was a child at heart when it came to parenting, he was a goofball who loved to have fun with his kids and grandchildren especially. There was not a job that he was too good to work at, in order to provide for his family. Throughout the years Mike welcomed several grandchildren into the fold either through his son, or marriage, he loved them all fiercely. Anyone who knew Mike will remember his passion for music. He took every single music class in school and loved it. He shared his passion for music and his talent through hundreds of songs he recorded. He always wanted everyone to feel peace and love. Mike was an active member in church growing up and all through adulthood. He attended several churches, always making new friends through his immense faith. Mike loved to play music and help lead the worship through singing. He touched many lives that way. Mike is survived by his son, James and his wife, Lyndsay in Colo., his daughter Crystal and partner, Jason in Minn., sister, Jeanette and her husband Lynn in Wash.; sister Cathy in Wash.; nieces, Jennifer and Kristine in Wash.; grand daughters Lily and Grace in S.D., grand children Kenna, Kaleb, Kayleen, and Korbin in Colo., and several cousins. Mike was welcomed home by his father, Gordon, and mother, Grace, as well as several beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
