Evelyn Tseu1933 – 2025
Evelyn Yukiye Kojima Tseu, 91, passed away suddenly from pancreatic cancer on May 25, 2025, in Boise, Idaho. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a quiet and generous friend whose sense of humor and presence uplifted all who knew her.
Born on December 10, 1933, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Evelyn was the second of four children of George Kojima and Asaye Masuyama. She attended St. Francis High School and enjoyed singing and dancing in her youth.
In December 1954, Evelyn married Lawrence K.W. Tseu, as he pursued his dental education in San Francisco, Provo, and Chicago. She supported their growing family with strength and grace. They settled in Honolulu in 1962, where they raised five children: Larilyn Dang (Bob), Shauna Williams (Rick), Janell Yim (Paul), Larry Tseu, and Andrew Tseu (Stacy). Evelyn and Lawrence divorced in 1977, after which she worked for ENT specialist Dr. Kenneal Chun, a role she valued for the people she helped and the friendships she formed. After she retired, she moved to Boise, Idaho in 2001, to be near to family.
She was known for her love of gardening, interior decorating, and cooking—especially her Hawaiian potato salad and her desserts. She loved flowers and always kept a meticulously maintained garden rich with color at her Boise home. Her favorite flower was the peony, and her spirit reflected its beauty and resilience. Determined and selfless, she gave quietly and wholeheartedly.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Dorothy. She is survived by her siblings Arthur (Barbara) and Walter (Lily), her five children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family thanks the team at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise for their compassionate care. Evelyn’s legacy lives on in the kindness she showed and the love she shared. A private service will be held in Hawaii at a later date.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
