Robert D. Nicholls, 93, of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

 

 Legacy

Born in Wilmington and spent most of his life in West Deptford, Bob was a 1949 graduate of Paulsboro high school.  Bob proudly served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. Before retiring in 1993 after 35 years, Bob was a Senior Research Technologist for DuPont in Wilmington, DE. In his spare time Bob was an accomplished musician and ballroom dancer. He enjoyed playing in the Tri-county, Bonsal Blues, and Barrington bands where he played the saxophone, clarinet, and french horn. Bob and his dear friend Janet were involved with many ballroom dancing groups in Wilmington, DE. He also enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Europe, as well as on cruises.

 

Family

Dear brother of the late Helen Lochiel and the late brothers Ray, Berton, and Richard and uncle to his late niece, Joan Gallagher. As well as loving Uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews; and dear friend of Janet Bond of Claymont, DE.   

 

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, June 3rd from 10:00AM to 12:00PM in the McGuinness Funeral Home-(Woodbury Location) 34 Hunter Street Woodbury, NJ 08096.  12:00PM Funeral Service.  Interment to Follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, New Jersey.  share the memories … share love … ShareLife® at www.mcgfuneral.com
