With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robbie Evelyn Wilson (née Rea), who left this world on May 22, 2025, at the age of 82 in Los Lunas, New Mexico. Robbie was born on March 29, 1943, and lived a life full of love, laughter, and heart. A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Robbie’s proudest legacy is her large and loving family—spanning five generations. She is survived by her beloved husband, Don Wilson, and their children: Donald Wilson Jr., Suzanne Payne, Lynette Wilson, Deidra Wilson, Bonnie Fiquet, Tonja Wilson, Yvette Wilson, and Yvonne Wilson. She was also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, siblings, and in-laws, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her daughter Connie Burge, granddaughter Sydney Wilson, and several siblings. Robbie spent her later career as a school bus driver, where her warmth and care touched the lives of countless children. She went on to become a respected instructor for bus driving and CPR—always willing to teach, guide, and lend a helping hand. Outside of work, Robbie loved the simple joys in life: crocheting and quilting with love in every stitch, cooking meals that brought everyone together, and spending time outdoors camping and fishing. She adored her family and made sure everyone felt loved, welcome, and cared for—with a heart of gold, a selfless spirit, and a fierce love that never wavered. Robbie was funny, sassy, witty, and spunky—a woman who could make you laugh, feed your soul, and teach you something, all in the same breath. She touched more lives than we can count. Her legacy isn’t just in the family she raised, but in the kindness she spread, the laughs she shared, and the strength she modeled every single day. A celebration of Robbie’s life will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Riverside Funeral Home, 820 Main St NE, Los Lunas, NM 87031. The family welcomes stories, memories, and laughter as we celebrate her unforgettable life. She was the glue that held our family together, our rock and heart. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
