Norma Kanis

Norma Kanis, born February 4, 1956, in Turbo, Department of Antioquia, Republic of Colombia was sent to her eternal home on May 20, 2025, when she lost her battle with cancer.

Norma is survived by her husband Gregory, son Joel, daughter Vanessa, granddaughters Jaylah, Sienna, Danica, Mila and Kara, grandsons Liam and Joel Jr and great granddaughter Aspen.  She also leaves behind sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews who adored her.

Norma worked for Current after coming to the United States and after many years retired to part time jobs which caught her interests and finally retired to help raise her grandkids as her passion was always the children in the family.

Norma touched all of the people she met in a way that is hard to describe.  Leaving a trail of smiles and joy.  People were drawn to her selflessness and willingness to help anyone for any reason.  She was loved.

Norma may not be physically in our world but her spirit lives on with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Her love and compassion has brought our family closer together and taught us the value of kindness and sacrifice.  She would not want us to cry for her but to be strong and remember her with a smile on our faces and joy in our hearts.  I will miss my dear wife, my heart is broken, my tears flow, but maybe in awhile there will be more smiles than tears.
