Elena Serrano Rodriguez (Helen), born on January 28, 1933, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, peacefully passed away on May 26, 2025, in Chicopee, Massachusetts.

A devout Catholic, Helen's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She embraced her role as a homemaker with grace, creating a nurturing environment filled with love and compassion, always ensuring that her family felt supported and cherished. To those who knew her, she was not only a warrior in spirit but also a beacon of kindness, always ready to open her home and lend a helping hand to those in need.

She is survived by her beloved children: Miguel (Mickey), Juan (Carlos), Hector, Yvonne, and Gilberto (Gil). In addition, she is fondly remembered by her siblings, Carmen, Juanita (Jenny), Jose (Pepe), and Gladys, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members, all of whom will remember her with love and admiration.

Helen’s legacy is one of compassion and generosity, as she dedicated her life to caring for those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.

Memorial services are being held at a later date in Puerto Rico.

The family requests a donation to the American Cancer Society in her name, in lieu of flowers.
