As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. Psalm 42:1
Durazo, Linda Rae
Our beloved wife, mother, and nana went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 11, 2025 after a long and painful battle with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. Linda moved to Tucson in 1967, where she graduated from Sahuaro High School. She retired from Qwest Communications after 30 years working in various roles from telephone operator to repairman. An avid hiker, Linda spent countless hours exploring Mount Lemmon. A lover of animals, she adopted every stray cat in her neighborhood and older dogs from Mature Mutts of Pima Animal Care Center.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ignacio; children, Eric Breyfogle, Krista (Ken) White; stepchildren, Deanna Degirolamo, Lisa (Mike) Gigi; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings Terry (Judy) Couchenour, Sandy Reid, and Bob (Rebecca) Couchenour, and many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
Her family celebrated her life in a private ceremony on Mount Lemmon on May 26, 2025. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Friends of Pima Animal Care Center in Linda Durazo’s name (notify: [email protected]).
