John Robert Ratliff III 31, of Kingsport passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

John was preceded in death by his father, John Robert Ratliff Jr.; stepfather, David Lee Bledsoe; paternal grandmother, Emma Jean Ratliff; paternal grandfather, John Robert Ratliff; aunt, Susan Bledsoe; uncle, Jimmy Starnes. 

Survivors include his children, Preston, Aaron, Waylon, Stetson, Gracelynn, and Priscilla; mother, Michelle Bledsoe; brothers, Justin Starnes and wife Brittany, Mikey Crowe, and Curtis Ratliff; sisters, Stephanie Vogt, Stacy Quinn, and Amanda Amyx and husband Edgar; maternal grandmother, Josephine Hickman; along with a host of friends and extended family. 

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport.

A funeral service will follow with Pastor Glen Stewart officiating.
