In Loving Memory
Jeannine M. (Talbot) Morin, 92, of Belchertown, passed away peacefully at her home on May 25, 2025.
Born on April 23, 1933, in LaPatrie, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Désiré and Aurore (Vezina) Talbot. Jeannine moved to Aldenville, Massachusetts at the age of 18, where she worked diligently to learn English and later earned her associate’s degree from Springfield Technical Community College.
A proud resident of Belchertown for over 60 years, Jeannine embraced farm life, raising a variety of animals and enjoying the simple pleasures of country living. She also built a successful business in real estate, dedicating more than 60 years to managing various properties.
Jeannine was employed as a supervisor at both Monson Developmental Center and the Belchertown State School before her retirement. She had a talent for sewing and was a longtime member of the 4-H sewing club, “Pins and Needles.”
Jeannine was the beloved matriarch of her family, known for her strength, warmth, and unwavering love. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Jeannine is survived by her children, Roger Martineau and his wife Deb, Therese Leab and partner Tom, Carole Wheeler and partner Bob, and Francis Martineau; her partner, Claude Morin, and his children Kathleen Desjardins and Claude Jr.; as well 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
