Patrick R. Corn was born January 23, 1953, to Ross C. Corn and Virgina Ocamica Corn at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Caldwell, Idaho.  He passed away following a brief illness at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, Washington on May 13, 2025.

Patrick attended elementary schools in Marsing, Idaho and Ontario, Oregon. He graduated from Adrian High School in 1971.  He went on to graduate from Gonzaga University and later completed a master's degree in education at Eastern Oregon university.

Following graduation from Gonzaga, Pat was the junior member of Corn and Corn Construction for many years. He taught Construction Trades at SRCI Ontario and later taught in the Ontario School District.  He loved working in the Adrian Elementary School library and finally driving a bus there.

Pat loved children, the outdoors, author Mark Twain, classic literature, family, friends, and pets.  He was keenly interested in politics and was deeply and sincerely committed to his faith.  He was an active member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church.

Patrick had a hilarious sense of humor and a knack for turning ordinary activities into an escapade.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents Ross and Virginia Corn.  He is survived by his sister Teresa Ballard (Ross) and their children, Marie Ballard, Ross Ballard, and Richard Ballard along with his dear great nieces and nephews Lucia, Ross, Elise, Emma, and Gavin, as well as his pet cat Jim.

The family would like to thank his friends and coffee mates for their daily friendship.

Funeral Services for Patrick will be held May 30, 2025, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Vale, Oregon at 10:00a.m.  All are invited to attend and to bring a funny story or anecdote to share.

Lienkaemper Funeral Chapel-Ontario

For over 100 years, the Lienkaemper Funeral Chapel has served the Ontario, Oregon, community with professional, compassionate care. Our story begins in 1907 when the Peterson family, who owned a furniture store in Ontario, helped with funeral arrangements and sold caskets from the store’s basement. Over the years, the business has grown and had a number of owners, partnerships and names. Among them was our current namesake, the Lienkaemper family, who purchased the family funeral home with the mission of helping families in the Ontario community. ...
