Betty Jean Carlson
December 27th, 1934 - May 29th, 2025
Betty Jean Carlson, 90, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at her home in Meridian, Idaho. Betty was born on December 27, 1934 in Thornton, Idaho. She grew up in the Lyman area and graduated from Madison High School. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings throughout her life. She married Jay Kenneth Carlson on October 14, 1955 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They resided in Blackfoot for most of their lives where they had three children and she spent much of her time in their large, beautiful garden. She enjoyed cooking, being with her family, gardening and sharing her garden produce with those around her. She is survived by her husband, Ken, daughters Linda Carlson (Bobby Mackall) and Beth (Marshall) Stimpson as well as her 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Kelvin Carlson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6 at 1 pm at the Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot.
