Andrea Helen Wilson
May 11th, 1942 - March 27th, 2025
Andrea Helene (Ahlers) Wilson, 82, passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2025. Born May 11, 1942, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Irene Delores (Florezak) Rotzick and Michael Rotzick Jr. After her father's death, Andrea was adopted by her stepfather, John Hermon Ahlers, in 1959.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Kenneth Ahlers, and her eldest son, Robert John Wilson. She is survived by her sisters Roberta Zimdar (Stillwater, MN) and Kristi Su Sader (Orono, ME), Tucsonans Jemmie Wilson and grandsons Craig and Brent Wilson, great-grandchildren Adam and Remy Wilson, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Andrea spent her early years in Montana and Colorado before settling in Tucson, where she graduated from Rincon High School in 1959. She retired from the University of Arizona in 2001 after a career in the Printing and Reproduction Department. Known for her creativity, Andrea loved card-making, scrapbooking, and watercolors.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E Tanque Verde Rd, Tucson, AZ.
In her memory, donations may be made to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum or Via de Cristo.
