Kinsley Faith Marcum, age 7, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on May 29, 2025. Born on August 30, 2017, to parents Michael and Erica Marcum, Kinsley was a loving, caring, and vibrant child whose joy and laughter touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her extraordinary spirit left an indelible mark on her family, friends, and community.
Kinsley fought a courageous battle with brain cancer, displaying incredible strength and resilience. Her radiant spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Norma Faye Webb and Dever Rose; uncles, Ronnie Rose and George Rose; aunt, Debbie Dexter; and cousin, Chris Harvey.
Kinsley is survived by her parents, Michael and Erica Marcum; her older sister, Gracie Marcum, of the home; paternal grandparents, Barbara and Douglas Bralley; maternal grandparents, Danielle and Chaad Donovan, and Buddy and Jesse Runyon; great-grandparents, Stanley and Wanda Hopkins, and Nellie Rose; as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion, and to the Ronald McDonald House for their unwavering support during Kinsley’s treatment.
Kinsley’s memory will be cherished forever, and her light will continue to shine in the lives she touched.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Randy Shupe officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Holston view Cemetery. Buddy Runyon, Chaad Donovan, Anthony Williams, Jason Marcum, Les Hopkins, and Zac Runyon will be serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Scott County Funeral Home by 10:15 am.
Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City is serving the Marcum family.
