All-States Cremation - Wheat Ridge
Esther Roybal
July 3rd, 1958 - May 12th, 2025
Esther Roybal passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2025 after many months in hospice care. Her husband of over 30 years, Jesse was by her side. While in hospice, she was always welcoming to those that cared for her with humor.
Esther was born a Denver native on July 3, 1958. Growing up near Sloan Lake, she attended and graduated from North High School in 1976.
After being hospitalized from experiencing multiple (traumatic) injuries to her body, she was recovering well when she met her future husband. The pain of those injuries lessened over time with the love she shared with Jesse. They married after a brief courtship. The two were inseparable as they took to driving throughout Colorado, northern New Mexico, traveling to San Francisco and taking the train eastward through Chicago, on to New York to view Niagara Falls. They also enjoyed visits to Wyoming, South Dakota and Cancun, Mexico.
Of course, Esther and Jesse enjoyed the local cuisines of where they visited. However, Esther was also a great cook. She prepared meals of lamb with Bearnaise sauce and various Italian dishes for her and Jesse.
Esther was preceded in death by her mother Orlina O. Montez, her father Gregory Roybal, and is survived by her husband Jesse, her stepchildren Jesse and Viola, step grandchildren Gloria, Damien and Marcos, who she thought of and loved very much and her sister Margaret Dowdle.
Esther's Memorial will be held at Aspen Mortuary, 6370 Union St., Arvada, CO 80004 on Monday, June 9th, 2025 at 10:00 am.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him. - James 1:12
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. - Proverbs 3:5-6
