All-States Cremation - Wheat Ridge
Gavino "Chuck" Jim Brionez
April 20th, 1951 - May 23rd, 2025
Gavino Jim “Chuck” Brionez, affectionately known by many as “Devil Dog,” passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy full of gold stories, sharp wit, and an unmistakable presence that could light up any room. Known for living life on his own terms, Chuck was a man of grit, heart, and unforgettable charm.
Chuck was the proud patriarch of a large and lively family. He is survived by his children: Anthony Leal, Gavino Brionez, Michelle Brionez, Juan Brionez, Denise Brionez, Christine Brionez, and Gabriel Brionez. He was a cherished grandfather to sixteen grandchildren and had numerous great-grandchildren who brought him tremendous joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gavino and Mary Brionez, and his siblings Marie Leal and Bobby Brionez. He is survived by his sister, Gloria Lopez, along with many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Chuck was a true original — known for his love of pool, boxing, and slamming bones (dominoes) with intensity and laughter. He had a deep appreciation for the simple things: good music, good company, an ice-cold PBR, and his green. These comforts brought him peace and pleasure, and he never apologized for enjoying life his way.
A storyteller at heart, Chuck had a way of drawing people in with his gold stories, big energy, and unmistakable voice. Whether you knew him as Chuck, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, or Devil Dog — you knew someone unforgettable.
His strength, spirit, and loyalty to those he loved will live on in every tale told and every toast raised in his honor.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
