Marvel Yvonne Ellis passed away on May 26th, 2025 in Oregon City, Oregon, at the age of 89.
Marvel was born on September 10th, 1935 in Sacred Heart Minnesota, to parents Orie Francis Couture and Irene Marie Helgeson. Her family came to Oregon when she was young, and she attended Lincoln High School in Portland Oregon.
Marvel was a mother of 4, and opened Lone Elder Pizza in 1976. She was a singer, bowler, archery hunter. She enjoyed playing pinochle, pitching horseshoes, hosting family gatherings, family vacations, and RVing.
In 1992, she married John E. Ellis in Aurora Oregon, at the Lutheran church.
Marvel was preceded in death by her husband Walter “Barney” Chapman in 1984, Her son David O Harris in 1991, and her husband John E Ellis in 2020.
She is survived by her three daughters; Linda M Youngblood, Oregon City – Janet L Hayes, Oregon City and Julie M Chapman Moore, Canby Oregon.
A service will be held in her honor, on Thursday June 12th 2025, 11:15am at Willamette National Cemetery.
