Diane Sharon Sampson
August 14th, 1968 - June 2nd, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Diane Sampson (née Davis), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on June 2, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on August 14, 1968, in Warner Robins, Georgia, Diane was a beacon of love and strength who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Diane's journey through life was characterized by her unwavering loyalty and her profound commitment to her family. She shared a loving marriage with her husband, Sebastian, for 31 wonderful years, creating a home filled with warmth and laughter. Diane was a devoted mother to her four children, Tamara, Veronica, Julia, and Cody, nurturing them with her kindness and wisdom. She embraced the role of grandmother with joy, especially relishing moments spent with her grandchild, Phoenix White.
Her family was always her first priority. Diane is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren, along with her four brothers, Domonic (Carol), Richard, Eric, and Ivan Davis, and her two sisters Pam (Noah) Ordoyne, and Lisa Davis. She will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and her former sister-in-law, Jackie Davis. Diane was preceded in death by her loving parents, Herbert Clifton Davis and Mary Lee Brinson Davis, whose guidance she cherished throughout her life.
Professionally, Diane dedicated over two decades to the nurturing and education of young minds as a daycare teacher at Cherished Children Too. Her compassionate nature and dedication to her work made her a cherished figure in the lives of both her students and their families. Diane’s impact extended beyond the classroom, as she was an active member of Northview Methodist Church, where she found community and purpose in her faith.
In her spare time, Diane found solace in reading, particularly romance novels and mysteries, which transported her to different worlds and inspired her own hopeful outlook on life. Her friends knew her as a particularly tough yet gentle spirit—a true friend who captivated with her down-to-earth wisdom, unwavering support, and infectious laughter.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
