Mark "Buster" William Hitchcock
January 23rd, 1962 - May 31st, 2025
Hitchcock, Mark “Buster”, 63, of St.Petersburg passed away May 31st 2025 at home under hospice care. Born and raised in Wellington Somerset, England he joined the Royal Air Force at age 17 and served till the age of 21. At 25 on a visit to America to stay with a friend he met his wife and has lived here ever since. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avis Hitchcock and William Hithcock; and his niece Georgia Lavender. Buster is survived by his wife of 37 years Roseanna Tullo Hitchcock; Daughter Avis Adele Hitchcock; siblings Nichola Hitchcock, Gillian Lavender, Samantha Hitchcock, Simon Hitchcock and Suzanne Davey; many beloved nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews as well as his extended family both on his side and his wife’s side. Buster was a man who loved and lived big, he had a passion for making everyone who was in his company feel welcomed and have a good time. He could make you laugh, smile and even cry from laughing so hard. He remembered everyone, the stories they shared with him, the people who mattered to them and he never forgot someone’s name. He was the life of the party and had such a welcoming and inviting presence. He played Rugby and loved the Florida State Seminoles, he enjoyed playing poker and watching Formula One Racing. His “Football” Soccer team was West Ham and he cared deeply about everyone in his life friends included. Buster’s memorial service will be held on Monday, June 30th, 2025 11am at Anderson McQueen 2201 Dr M.L.K. Jr St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33704; Celebration of Life will be held after the Service at Fergs Sports Bar 1320 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33705. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army https://give.salvationarmyusa.org
