Doris J. Honeycutt
July 11th, 1950 - May 23rd, 2025
In Loving Memory
Mrs. Doris J. Honeycutt, 74, entered into eternal rest on May 23, 2025.
Mrs. Honeycutt was born on July 11, 1950, in St. George, South Carolina, to the late Carrol and Margaret Lawson. She had a deep love for her family and cherished their many trips to the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas of Tennessee. She also had a passion for crafting and collecting — especially roosters, which brought her great joy.
Throughout her life, Doris embraced many roles. She retired from BellSouth after a dedicated career, later became a business owner alongside her husband with Honeycutt Engines and Machine, and most proudly, she was a devoted grandmother who took immense joy in spoiling her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Honeycutt, Sr. of Lexington, SC; and her sister, Carole L. Skipper, of Sumter, SC.
She is survived by her sister, Linda L. Hair of Lexington, SC; her son, James Honeycutt, Jr. (Tammy) of Gilbert, SC; and her daughter, Stacey Bevel (Julian) of West Columbia, SC. Doris was the proud grandmother of Colin Honeycutt, Britany Bevel, Brianne Bevel, and Bristal Bevel.
