Jerry Jerome Jackson

Jerry Jerome Jackson, 70, of Saint Paul, MN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 18, 1954, in East St. Louis, Illinois.

In 1968, Jerry moved to Saint Paul, where he completed his education and graduated from Central High School. A devoted and tireless worker throughout his life, Jerry proudly wore many hats — both literally and figuratively. Of all the roles he embraced, his favorites were those of brother, father, and fiancé.

Jerry is survived by his beloved fiancée, Deb Cross;

His children: Regina Dearing (Terence), Jerry J. Pierro, Antheltha Pierro, Harvey Brown, Jerry Jackson Jr., Jereme Jackson (Jessica), Jessica Jackson, Devante Jackson, and Queen Jackson;

His siblings: Curtis Buckhanan (Sheila), Nathaniel Buckhanan, Ernie Buckhanan (Chatia), and Betty Jones.

He also leaves behind a legacy of love through his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of extended family and friends.

Jerry was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan, known for his eternal optimism and his yearly motto: “We’ll get them next year…”. He also shared a deep bond with his cherished fur babies, Max and Blackness.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Maria and Beatrice; his brother, James Jr.; his daughter, Sherrie; his son, Harval; and the mothers of his children, Sharon and Michelle.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Saturday June 7th, at Twin Cities Cremation, 344 University Ave W, St. Paul, MN 55103.

Visitation at 12PM, service at 1PM.

Jerry will be remembered for his strength, humor, love for family, and unmatched hat collection. He will be deeply missed.
