John "Jack" Kovacs, age 94, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025. Born on June 15, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jack was married to Ruth Ann Kovacs, (deceased), and was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with loved ones. He had a deep passion for music, sharing his talents by singing and playing the ukulele, guitar, piano, and banjo, inspiring his family with his love of music. Known for his quick wit, kindness, and warmth, Jack dedicated his life to providing a nurturing and supportive home for his family. His stories and wisdom will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He is survived by his sister, Joan Stodola; his children, Steve (Deb), Gail (Rick), Sue (Bruce), Jody (Dan), and John (Jamie); 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday June 9, 2025, at St. Pius X Church, (3878 Highland Ave, White Bear Lake) with visitation an hour prior. Memorial donations may be made to The Salem West Donation Center or The Salvation Army.
