Mary Lee Goldberg
October 23rd, 1946 - June 2nd, 2025
Mary Lee J. Goldberg (nee Cassa) went to the Lord June 2, 2025. She was born October 23rd, 1946, in Staten Island, New York. Mary Lee leaves behind her loving husband Michael (Mike) of 58 years. She also leaves her 2 beloved sons, Jason (Stacey Davis) and Erik (Kristin McNally). Mary Lee’s love of her four grandchildren Dean, Ellie, Julia and Emmie was unsurpassed. Mary Lee also leaves her brother Anthony and sister Adeline along with their children Anthony, Stacey and her Godchild Charissa. Mary Lee is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Cassa as well as her brother-in-law James Gallagher and nephew James Gallagher. Mary Lee never let a chance go by to tell people she was from New York. She was a diehard Yankees fan. She loved shopping, jewelry, vacationing in Aruba and Rehoboth, going to the Borgata and playing scrabble. Mary Lee was an avid gardener and had a green thumb. She always received compliments on her beautiful flowers. She was a fantastic cook, loved making Italian food for the family, especially Sunday gravy. She loved to decorate and always kept a beautiful home. Upon leaving New York, she lived with her family in Buckeye Arizona where her love of horses became a reality having two horses. Mary Lee was very patriotic. She worked at the election polls for many years as well as part-time at the West Deptford library. However, she was quick to add that she was a homemaker and Mother first. Marylee will be missed; we loved her so!

McGuinness Funeral Homes - Woodbury
We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family....
