Brett Tattman
July 8th, 1973 - May 21st, 2025
“Forever in our hearts, always in our lives.
Brett Tatman, beloved son, brother, husband, father, stepfather, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2025 at the age of 51.
Born on July 8th, 1973 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, Brett lived a life defined by loyalty, laughter, and a wholehearted love for people. His quick wit and incredible sense of humor made him the kind of person who would brighten any room—always ready with a joke, a smile, or a helping hand.
Brett was married to his former wife Rebecca Tatman and became the exuberant father of two sons, Hunter and Holden Tatman. Later in life, he found his true partner, soulmate and best friend in his wife, Denise Tatman. Together, they shared an immediate bond built on openness, honesty, unconditional love, and deep respect. Brett often said that becoming part of Denise and her children’s lives was his “second chance at life”—a role he stepped into with pride, grace, and unwavering dedication.
He was not only a devoted husband but a true father in every way to all of his children. Whether attending school concerts, sporting events, or simply being there in the everyday moments or helping them through life's challenges, Brett rarely missed an opportunity to show his love and support.
A lifelong lover of music, Brett found joy in playing the guitar, among many other instruments he was proficient with, and listening to the songs that told the story of his life. He was quick to criticize music that didn’t meet his standards. Having jam sessions when Hunter and Holden were home during holidays was near and dear to his heart. He was also a passionate car enthusiast and Formula 1 racing fan—he could spend hours talking about Hunter’s adventures and accomplishments in racing. These passions reflected his spirit: vibrant, curious, and always in motion.
Brett believed in making memories—through travel, shared laughter, and showing up for those he loved. He was the kind of man who would do anything for anyone, without hesitation or complaint. He taught those around him the value of loyalty, kindness, honesty and being fully present.
Brett is survived by his loving wife, Denise Tatman; his sons, Hunter and fiancee Brittany & Holden; his stepchildren, Juan, Max, Emory & Henry; his brother Brian and his wife, Angela and a large community of extended family and dear friends who will carry his memory forward with gratitude and love.
