It is with heavy hearts that we announce Betty Goss' transition on May 31st 2025. Betty passed away peacefully in her sleep at home with her husband Roger by her side. Betty succumbed to cancer after 20 months of treatment.

Betty was born Betty Lorraine Gould on November 19th 1953 in Newton Iowa to Thea (Kelsey) and John Gould. She was raised in Cresco Iowa, and later moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota for a time before moving on to Colorado. She was a cheerleader, lifeguard and swimmer in school.  She graduated Englewood High School in 1972 and graduated beauty school shortly thereafter. She met Thomas Christiansen at her brother John's work and she married Tom soon after. They were blessed with two children, Carina and Brett. Tom and Betty divorced years later. She met her 2nd husband through her son Brett when he was working for Roger. Betty and Roger were married in 2009 and have been together since.

Betty was briefly a hairstylist before becoming a nail technician and master sculptress. She was in the beauty industry for about 50 years. She also worked part time as a bartender and a floral arranger from time to time. Later in life she made jewelry and sold her creations at craft fairs with her family and friends. She was always rearranging the furniture and interior decorating. She sewed her own pillows and curtains and was always into some new DIY project. Definitely the project girl.  She played billiards and won many tournaments over the years.

Betty was very passionate about life and had tons of interests. She was all about gardening and even grew her own tomatoes from seed. When she wasn't digging in the dirt, she loved to travel. Her favorite trips were to the Colorado mountains in September and to New England in October. The fall colors just made her soul sing. She loved to see the fall leaves and took photos of covered bridges, waterfalls and lighthouses. She had a great eye for composition and framing. She loved to go on camping trips in the RV nicknamed "Bruiser" with Roger and Grand-Doggie Blazer in the summer. She enjoyed listening to the river water and the feel of the sunshine on her face. Her other hobbies were shopping, music, reading, TV and movies. She definitely had a sweet tooth, was a chocoholic and an epicurean of her daughter's confections.

Betty is preceded in death by both her parents, her niece Shelley and her son Brett. She is survived by her husband Roger, her daughter Carina, her grand-dog Blazer and both her older brothers John & Alan and their families.

Celebration of Life is on Friday June 20th, 2025 at Mile High Church, 9079 West Alameda Ave., Lakewood, CO 80226. 9:30 am viewing, 10:30 am service, reception to follow.
