Robert F. Massey

Robert F. Massey, better known as Bob Massey, lifelong resident of Yuba City, CA, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born on May 13, 1942, in Yuba City, CA, to Virgil and Ernestine Massey, Bob was known for his strong work ethic, independence, and strong family ties.

He worked hard, played hard, and never knew an idle moment. Bob's life was marked by resilience, determination, and an unwavering dedication to his family and many friends.

Bob was the husband of Marcella Massey. He was previously married to Barbara Coffrin, with whom he shared five children, including their stillborn daughter, Angila, and four sons, Richard, Ben, Robert, and Jerry. He later married Gail Mlaker, and they had a son, Timothy.

He was preceded in death by both Barbara and Gail; his parents, Virgil and Ernestine; his children, Angila, Richard, and Ben Massey; and his siblings, Ernest and Herman Massey, and Mary Brinegar.

Bob is survived by his sons, Robert (Michele) Massey, Jerry (Christine) Massey, and Timothy (Misty) Massey; wife, Marcy; and sister, Doris (Kenneth) Marler.

Being a grandfather brought him great pride. He will be remembered by his grandchildren, Kevin, Scott, Kari, Johnathan, and Chi Long Massey; Kimberlee Owen; and Damian and Zachary Norden.

His five great-grandchildren added to the joy of his later years. Bob also leaves behind countless lifelong friends who were considered family.

Bob Massey's legacy will live on through his family, friends and countless stories that will be shared for years to come. He will be remembered in the ways that mattered most to him.

Funeral services will be held at Ullrey Memorial Chapel on June 13, 2025, at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Sutter Cemetery. Family and friends are invited.
