Howard "BJ" Steinberg

Favorite local musician, loving father, grandfather and husband passed away on June 3rd, 2025 in hospice care, St. Petersburg, Florida. He was known for his incredible talent on guitar and pedal steel guitar, his professionalism, and his great sense of humor. He also spent 34 years as a consultant to the social security disability system’s office of hearings operations. He cared for others less fortunate than he, and served on non-profit boards in his spare time. He was a lover of cats, art, music, baseball, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice, his brother Robert Steinberg, his sons Lyle of Mequon, WI, and Matt of Guilford, VT, and grandchildren Madeline, Morris, Viviana, and Louis Vincenzo.
