John William Quam

John William Quam, 86, of Saint Paul Park, MN passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025. Born October 27, 1938 in Lisbon, ND, John lived his life defined by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering willingness to help those around him.
John’s appreciation of nature was reflected in his lifelong career with the Department of Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service. He was happiest outdoors and could often be found gardening or exploring trails by bicycle. John’s passion for nature was also evident in his beloved hobby of agate collecting, a hobby passed down from his father.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Nancy (Zebe), his parents John Donald and Louise (Zink) Quam, his brothers Gary (Marty) and Tom (Lou Ann), and his sister Janet Reding (Bernie). He is survived by his sons Steven and John Scott, his daughter, Stephanie, and his sister Shari Johnson (Bruce).
John’s kindness, generosity, and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family.
