Josephine (Jody) Hinman Maddox, age 96, formerly of Gibbstown, New Jersy, passed away on June 6, 2025 at Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Florida.
Legacy
Jody was born January 16, 1929 to Joseph and Victoria Hinman in Woodbury, New Jersey. After graduating from Paulsboro High School in 1946, she attended Pierce Business School. She worked as a secretary for many years at DuPont's Eastern Laboratory and retired from GTE in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
Jody was an active member of the Billingsport Methodist Church. She loved ballroom dancing and socializing with friends. In her youth, she also enjoyed roller skating and ice skating. She always looked forward to her visits with dear friends, Carole and Gary Herrlich, of Corning, New York.
Family
Jody was predeceased by her parents, her son, Clinton Maddox, and her sister, Lena Cowgill.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated son, Robert and wife, Madolyn, granddaughter, Natalie, and husband Olivier Rougie'; two great-grandsons, Alexandre and Nicolas Rougie'; and special friend, Sheri Bahrenfus.
Jody spent her last year and a half in Tampa, Florida near her devoted granddaughter and family.
