Leave a tribute

Drew passed away unexpectedly on May 24,2025, far before his time at the age of 44.

Born on July 6, 1980, in Tucson, Arizona, Drew graduated from Mountain View High School where he earned a football scholarship to Northern Arizona University. He graduated in 2005 with a degree in Construction Management. Drew built a distinguished career as a seasoned Civil Estimator, most recently serving at Sundt Construction in Phoenix. He made his home with his family in Ahwatukee, Arizona.

Drew was a devoted husband to Jessa Wilson and loving father to Brooklyn, 13, and Charlotte, 8. He was the cherished only child of Steven and Rebecca Wilson of Tucson, Arizona.

From childhood Drew excelled in athletics, participating in numerous sports throughout his youth. During his senior year, he distinguished himself on the football field as a tight end. His passion for sports extended well beyond his playing days - he remained an avid follower of both collegiate and professional athletics. Drew was a diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, University of Arizona Wildcats, and Iowa Hawkeyes. Most importantly, he was his daughters' biggest champion, enthusiastically cheering on Brooklyn in volleyball and coaching Charlotte's basketball team.

Drew possessed an extraordinary gift for connecting with people. He never encountered a stranger and treated everyone with genuine respect and kindness. His love for children was evident to all who knew him, and his compassion extended to all living creatures, especially his K-9 friends. He couldn't walk pass a dog without stopping to ask about it and offer gentle pets. MoJo, his current companion, remains a testament to his tender heart.

Drew was preceded in death by his grandparents Gale and Shirley Alger of Gillette Grove, Iowa and Charles Wilson and Dolores Mann of Belle Plaine, Iowa, as well as his aunts Lucinda Richardson of Laurens, Iowa, and Cindy Clark of Collins, Iowa.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, mourned deeply by his wife Jessa, daughters Brooklyn and Charlotte, parents Steve and Rebecca Wilson, and Jessa's parents Tom and Donna Smith. His memory will be treasured by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and countless friends whom he loved as family.

A celebration of Drew's life will be held on June 21st at Bonfire Craft Kitchen & Tap House, 1660 W Warner Road, Tempe, Arizona, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Casual and colorful attire. He loved green.

In lieu of flowers, Drew's family requests you honor his memory by loving one another and embracing kindness and compassion in you daily lives.
