She met Mana Lee Brown at the tire shop in south Tampa that he managed. Their marriage, celebrated in 1973 on the small parcel of land they cleared in then-rural Land O’ Lakes, lasted until his death in 2014.
Their land supported gardens and livestock and its harvest fed the family and was shared with friends and neighbors.
Linda worked for 30 years at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office as a dispatch operator.
A devoted and longtime member of the Land O’ Lakes Church of God, Linda served as vice president of the Women’s Ministry and actively supported the church’s mission.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests any donations to be made to the Humane Society. Linda loved her animals.
