March 18th, 1935 - June 6th, 2025
Hay, Carol, 90, passed away June 6, 2025. She was born March 18, 1935 in New York City.
Carol moved to St. Petersburg at the age of seven. Following graduation from St.
Petersburg High School she began working at St. Petersburg Federal Savings & Loan.
She married her high school sweetheart, Ralph Hay, in 1955 and together they owned and operated Ralph W. Hay Plumbing for 25 years.
Carol raised four children and they were her pride and joy. She made many sacrifices
to give her children a good education and was always present at their many sporting events. She was a wonderful grandmother!
After retirement Carol joined a morning mall walking group where she made new friendships. They attended Rays games and volunteered as poll workers.
Carol moved to American House, ALF, where she reconnected with high school friends and coworkers. She was a beloved resident.
Carol was a devout member of Transfiguration Church and St. Jude’s Cathedral.
Carol was predeceased by her husband, Ralph and her sons, Vinnie and Steve.
She is survived by her daughters; Karen Fraraccio(Rudy) and Diana Helinger(Kerry), her
daughter-in-law: Joanna Hay, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three sisters, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude’s Cathedral on Tuesday, June 17 at 1:30pm,
followed by a reception at Anderson McQueen Funeral home from 3-5pm at
2201-Dr.M.L.K. Jr St N 33704. Interment will be private.
