He will be greeted by his parents and his older brother Charles A Marsala and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws in his heavenly life. He is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Carolyn Marsala, his three children, great grandchildren Maddie, Grayson, Emma and Tatum, son-in-law Aaron Price, granddaughter-in-law Tayler Anthony, Philip's fiancee Cynthia Kersey and her family, his younger brother Lawrence Marsala and his wife Debby and their sons Stephan and Joseph, and the family of Charles Marsala.

He was stationed at Grand Forks AFB, ND, Nikolski AFS Alaska, Ent AFB CO, North Camp Drake, Japan, Luke AFB AZ, Kunsan AFB Korea, Davis-Monthan AFB AZ, USAF Academy CO, and RAF Fairford England. Upon retiring from the USAF, David worked for twenty-seven years as a civilian in the USAF Academy.

He loved reading every James Patterson book written, loved volunteering at One Nation Walking Together, loved football, wrestling, muscle cars (a certain1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS comes to mind) peanut butter on almost anything, and really loved his spaghetti and meatballs. He was a quiet, humble and kind man who loved his family and friends. David will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
