In Loving Memory

Snowville, Va- Mr. Keith “Bubbah” Hall, 67, died on June 3rd 2025.

Keith Hall was born to Mary Byrd Meredith and John Wesley Hall Jr March 29th, 1958.  Captain Hall dreamed at an early age of flying the blue skies.  He grew up waking up early to milk the cows for his Papa Meredith, keeping mindful eye on his siblings and saving his money to eventually earn his pilots license at 17.  While a student and flight instructor at Va Tech, Captain Hall met the love of his life, T Simin Shayan.  They married in a simple yet lovely ceremony on the Hall family farm 7/11/1981 and only flight schedules kept them apart.

Captian Hall flew privately before signing with Piedmont Airlines, and the family, now comprised of daughter Meghan Sabba (Rauen) and Bryan Emmon Hall moved to Kernersville, in 1990.  The family put down deep roots in the Triad community for 34 years.  Both Keith and Simin became active in the arts community in the Triad as devoted parents to their musical children.  Keith even picked up learning the guitar to accompany his children, later his grandsons.  Keith and Simin were also deeply involved in a range of charitable, civic and educational programs for the Triad area.  Captain Hall flew with the commercial airlines from Piedmont to US Air, US Airways and American Airlines.  Keith took a short break from aviation to start a restaurant and brewery in Radford, Virginia with his youngest brother Mark Hall.  He returned to aviation shortly after the building was complete, his passion was always flying the skies.

Captain Hall was coined "a stoic" by dear friends, a deep thinker with a quick wit, something both his grandsons inherited.  He was known as never having disparaging comment and being able to succinctly surmise any situation and find a meaningful path forward.  Simin called his an "energy saver" - someone who did not spend a lot of energy languishing in the negative.  Though a man of few words, if you leaned in on a rainy day on the covered porch, he'd share terrific stories of his aviation career and childhood.  Keith and then "Bubbah" had a habit throughout his lifetime as popping up wherever he was needed and leaves us with this creed; "Life is for the living."

Keith Hall was preceded in death by his mother Byrd Poore and father John Hall Jr, his brothers Wesley and Lang Hall, his grandson Avery John Rauen and accompanied into the great blue skies with his grandson Rostam Radamez Hall.

Memorial Service was held, Saturday, June 14th at 3:00PM First Baptist Church 401 Oakhurst St, Kernersville, NC 27284.
