Trudy A. Rasmus

Age 75 of Englewood, FL passed away peacefully at home on June 3, 2025, after a few days filled with love, stories, and goodbyes. Born on May 10, 1950 in Fergus Falls, MN. She spent her childhood in Bemidji, MN where she met her husband, Greg R. Rasmus, whom she would be married to for 50 years before his passing in 2020. They moved to Minneapolis to begin their life together, settling in Burnsville / Lakeville, MN to raise their family. She enjoyed a 25-year career with the Lakeville School District before retiring to spend winters in Florida, and traveling with her husband and good friends.   

Always up for a good time, Trudy was spontaneous, energetic, and fun. The impact she made by showing others how to live life to the fullest is part of her legacy. Formulating deep friendships with people throughout the various stages of her life, people found Trudy to be caring and classy - but most importantly, a spiritual leader. She was devoted to fulfilling God's purpose for her life: sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ. She achieved peace in her final days and expressed satisfaction with no regrets. A life well lived.  

Trudy is preceded in death by husband, Greg, and parents, Harvey J. Olson and Helen (Holm) Mundorff. Survived by her children, Aaron (Anna-Marie) Rasmus & Autumn (Andy) Schinka; grandchildren Daniel & Katherine Rose Rasmus, Samantha & Addison Schinka; and many extended family and dear friends.   

A Celebration of Life will be held at Eagle Brook Church - Blaine, MN on Wednesday, July 9th at 1:30pm, with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji, MN on Thursday, July 10th at 1:00 p.m.
