Lilamae Warner, 90, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025, and went home to be with the Lord. She was born on November 2, 1934, in Bisbee, Arizona, to George Andrews and Anniedee Lila (Price) Warner.
A devoted social worker for the State of New Mexico, Lilamae dedicated 32 years of her life to helping the blind community. She taught individuals to read Braille and assisted them in navigating the city of Albuquerque with compassion and patience. After a fulfilling career, Lilamae retired at the age of 69 on September 1, 2003.
Lilamae spent the majority of her life in the vibrant Nob Hill neighborhood, calling it home for 80 years. She had a deep love for her community and found joy in cooking and gardening.
Known for her kindness and sweet nature, Lilamae had a gentle spirit that touched everyone she met. She had a lighthearted love for life, including her fondness for green chilies over red, a preference that brought a smile to her family.
Lilamae’s legacy of service, generosity, and love for her family and community will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Survived by her niece Erin (Bruce) Harris and family, and nephew Shawn (Jody) Warner and family. Predeceased by her parents, brother George Price Warner, and niece Kelly Barnard (Warner).
Per Lilamae’s wishes, there will not be any service held at this time.
