Patricia Lucille (Brown) Sorensen

Patricia Sorensen, of Bonney Lake, WA, passed away peacefully at her home on May 17, 2025, after 88 vibrant years.

Pat was born August 9, 1936 in Pierce, Idaho. After growing up in Pierce, she welcomed her six children and eventually settled with her husband, Sam, in Bonney Lake, WA, to raise their family as he worked on the railroad. She lived a full and loving life, dedicated to everyone that she held close to her heart.

Pat was a woman of simple joys and deep devotion. She cherished time with her family and her dear friends, had a passion for camping, and loved listening to Elvis. Her happiness was found in hours spent shopping with her daughters and granddaughters and in trips to the casino with anyone that wanted to join her. Pat was never seen without her nails done and a neat perm in her hair. Her kitchen door was always open to anyone that wished to visit and have a cup of coffee or tea. Pat’s warmth, humor, and unwavering love for others left an unforgettable mark on all who knew her.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel Sorensen; her dear son, William Clyde Johnson; and her parents, Richard and Agnes Brown.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Ken (Denise) Johnson, Richard (Toni) Johnson, Lorinda (Michael) McMurry, Terrie (Joe) Maris, John (Lorie) Johnson; her partner, Patrick Hogan; and her brother, Fred (Carol) Brown. Pat’s legacy also lives on through her 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Her family and friends already miss her deeply but take comfort in knowing that she is now free from pain and is reunited with Jesus and with her loved ones on the other side. She watches over her family with love as her legacy continues to grow.

Services will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11am at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. A reception and Celebration of Life will be from 12pm-4 on Saturday June 28,2025 at the home of her daughter Terrie Maris, 12617 230th Ave Ct E, Buckley, WA 98321.
