David G. Douillard
July 22nd, 1946 - June 6th, 2025
David G. Douillard, 78, passed away June 6, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center. Born July 22, 1946 in Holyoke, he was the son of Lionel and Doris (Lasonde) Douillard. David grew up in Springfield and has lived in Palmer for 32 years. He was a barber and also worked at Diamond Fiber in their maintenance department before his employment with Palmer Public Schools as a custodian, where he was know as "Papa Smurf". David is survived by his wife, Theresa (Santaniello) Douillard, and his two children, Mark and Jennifer Douillard as well as five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. David was predeceased by his sister, Theresa and brother, Robert. Visitation will be Sunday, June 15 from 3pm-5pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home with a service to conclude at 5pm.
