Bruce Allen Nichols, 89, passed away peacefully with family on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Proceeded in death by son, Doug, and first wife, Mary. Survived by wife Ramona, children, Steve, Jim (See), and many grand and great grandchildren. He lived a full life leaving behind an incredible legacy.
Private burial on June 30, 2025.
Open Celebration of Life following burial from 1 pm - 3 pm., at 4822 Glenbrook Ave. N., Oakdale, MN 55128.
Bruce married his first love and high school sweetheart Mary Helen Jungmann in May 12, 1956. They had 3 boys, Jim, Doug, and Steve. They built a home in Oakdale where they lived together until Mary passed away in February of 1995. He then met and married wife, Ramona Wiley, February 19, 1996, and lived together happily until his passing. Bruce was a very honest, hardworking, and diligent man, making sure things got done the right way. He held many jobs to provide for his family, including milkman, meterman, and school bus driver until May of 2014, when he then decided to retire and spent the last 11 years taking on the role of helping care for his great grandchildren Mary, Max, Landon, and Hannah, while granddaughter Elizabeth worked fulltime. He and Ramona made sure they didn’t miss a beat with keeping them occupied with time spent together at their home, movies, garage saling, parks, swimming, trips to get ice cream, the great MN state fair, sports/school events, and doctor visits when needed. He had a love of horses, golfing, fishing, "good" country music, jewelry/gem stones, traveling to Montana, Canada, and Las Vegas, staying active, and enjoyed every opportunity with his family and many grand and great grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. He was a man of many life stories from his own experiences and those of his father which he held dear to him. He always had solid and logical advice, listened well, supportive without a doubt, and always helped those in need. Though he is now at peace and reunited with his family, we will forever hold and remember his life very well lived.
