Kenneth Neil Lamb February 9, 1947 – June 5, 2025
Kenneth Neil Lamb of Denver, Colorado, passed away on June 5, 2025, after a courageous two-year battle with what is believed to be Lewy Body Dementia. He was 78 years old.
Ken was born on February 9, 1947, in Estes Park, Colorado. In 1966, he married his high school sweetheart, Suzanne Lamb, and together they built a loving family, raising two children, Karen and Michael.
In 1967, Ken was drafted into the United States Army. He entered service on February 17, 1967, and was selected for Officer Candidate School, earning the rank of Second Lieutenant. Ken served with distinction in Vietnam from September 1967 to April 1968, where he was wounded twice in combat. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his bravery and service. Ken continued to serve in various stateside assignments and achieved the rank of Captain before leaving the Army on February 16, 1970.
Following his military service, Ken spent over 30 years in the telecommunications manufacturing industry. He began his civilian career as a cable former and worked his way up to become an electronic technician, demonstrating determination and a strong work ethic. After retiring from the industry, he embarked on a second career as a truck driver for several companies before fully retiring.
Ken was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife Suzanne Lamb and his parents, Beatrice and Neil Lamb. He is survived by his brother James Lamb (Roxanne); his children Karen Riebschlager (Michael) and Michael Lamb (Renee); his grandchildren Aadam Lamb (Meghan), Kyle Riebschlager (Jessi), Megan Lambeall (Jamie), Kody Riebschlager (Sarah), and Michaela Lamb (Adam); and his great-grandchildren Brooke Lamb and Maxym Lamb.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 500 Drake St., Denver, CO 80221. Interment with military honors will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Ken will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep commitment to family, and his honorable service to his country.
