Marie Kathryn Lee
February 27th, 1962 - May 16th, 2025
Marie K. Lee was called home to the Lord on May 16, 2025. She was born on February 27, 1962, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to her beloved mother, Senida Pratts.
Marie is survived by her stepfather, Christopher Pratts; her brother, Anthony Lee; and her four daughters: Brandi Longmire, Brea Longmire, Tori Henderson, and Zaria Smith. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Tianna and Taliyah Longmire, Christian Rodriguez, Elijah Garcia, and Ameera Blackwell, as well as a host of additional loved ones.
Marie had the privilege of traveling the country as a military spouse. Before marriage, she attended South Junior High and Mitchell High School, where she excelled both academically and athletically. She participated in various sports, but track and field was her greatest passion—she even proudly recalled how she used to "dust the boys" in races. After high school, Marie earned several certificates in different fields and took great pride in her strong work ethic. Some of her most meaningful roles were with The Urban League and The Chamber of Commerce. In May 2025, she retired from UnitedHealthcare.
Marie’s smile was absolutely contagious. She found joy in music, genealogy, sports, and attending community events—often volunteering as well. She especially loved family gatherings and always brought warmth and laughter to every occasion. Marie was a great person with an even greater heart. Though her passing is a profound loss, we take comfort in knowing she is home with our Lord and Savior. The love she gave continues to unite us, and her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
