Ronald Philip Gentile
October 20th, 1937 - May 19th, 2025
Ronald P. Gentile,87, of Melbourne Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on May 19,2025, Formerly of Homestead Park, Pa. and Portsmouth, R.I.. He graduated from Grove City College(1959) and received Master's Degrees from The Naval War College(1975) and Providence College.MBA-1978). He was a career Naval Officer for 21 years retiring in 1981 as a CDR (SC) USN. He was then employed in the private business sector for 14 years before retiring to Florida in 1993. Surviving are his wife of 64 year-MaryAnne(Adams)-Sons- Thomas & James and Grandchildren- Nathan, Nicole, Hailey, Hannah, Wyatt, and great grandchild-Kailey Morgan. In their retirement Ron and MaryAnne spent several years traveling the United States and Europe. However, his favorite times were spent on his boat "Cracklin Rosie" and fishing with Tom, Wyatt and other friends. His cousin, Bob, gave him a set of golf clubs in retirement which he put to good use and enjoyed several golf outings with his Grove City College Frat brothers(EP). He also spent 24 summers in Franklin, NC golfing and hiking in this beautiful area. His service will be held July 26,2025 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Franklin, NC.
