GAIL JEAN FLANDERS

02/23/1942 ~ 05/30/2025

Gail was born in New Hampshire, raised in Vermont but spent most of her life in Coral Gables, Florida. She is predeceased by her mother, Ruth Flanders; father, Merle Flanders and brother, Jeffrey Flanders. Her surviving relatives are her sister-in-law, Alisann Morgan Sheehan and brother-in-law, William Sheehan.

Gail loved spending time with young people and said that it kept her young at heart. She had an adventurous spirit. In her twenties, Gail lived in New York City, as well as in the Caribbean Island of St. Croix.

More than anything, Gail loved animals. She adopted many dogs and cats in her lifetime and especially love her dog, Shanti.

Gail lived in Coral Gables for nearly fifty years taking care of her mother, Ruth. Her neighbors there remember her for her love of the city and wonderful sense of humor. Her many friends and neighbors in Coral Gables helped her through challenging health issues. In January, 2025, she moved to a new home in Merritt Island, Florida and spent time with Alisann. She will be missed by her friends and neighbors.

Funeral arrangements are Wednesday, June 11, at 10am at Riverside Memorial Gardens, Cocoa, FL, provided by Beckman Williamson Funeral Homes.
